Drinkwell Platinum Cat Fountain vs original?

I bought a Drinkwell fountain of my two cats. (I have a dome Catit source and I do not.) I am thinking of buying the Drinkwell Platinum critics say it is quieter than the original and is easier to clean and fill, etc. Could someone tell me how much water is Platinum? And I might add a tank for? Will I need a tank with two cats? For those who have tried the original and platinum is really much difference? What do you think? There is a price difference of $ 15 for both models.

I'm not one of them. Mina "Petmate FreshFlow" model. I really like and now we have a contact with the water container regularly! I have to disconnect and rinse once a week, even if, like many of my animals (one Newfoundland Dog / Lab, Persian, Ragamuffin cats) are long hair and the hair gets stuck in the one in the water for recycling. It's easy to tell when cleaning required, since it is very quiet and starts to be strong when you need a cleaning.
